The draft version of the 2010/2011 Fixture List is now available. The closing date for entry to the Camrose Trials is different this year, being 31st August.
Congratulations to Robert and Paul, top in the cross imp scoring in the Egan Trophy Selected for the North South match for the Sonya Britton trophy to be held in the Bracken Court hotel, Balbriggan on the weekend of 14th and 15th August. In the final of the Kelvin Cup, Ian Lindsay, Robin Burns, David Greenwood and Rex Anderson won from Moyna and Greer Mackenzie, Ian Hamilton, John Ferguson, Sam Hall and Hasting Campbell. All leagues are now complete, results posted. Bill was joined by his regular partner Derek Hanna with Toni Sproule and Tony O'Gallagher in the other room, playing together for the first time !! and to James and Kathleen McAllister on winning the Inter A B Pairs Most bridge players realise and enjoy the wonderful coverage supplied by BBO, managed by Roland Wald, however the organisation relies on a large number of volunteer commentators. BBO needs people who are able to analyse a bridge hand, people who are articulate and pretty fast typists, and hopefully not too biased when commentating. Sense of humour is an asset. Those who would like to contribute should send an e-mail to Roland Wald (just click) and he will get in touch in due course. |
